College of Marin Nursing students are able to apply for a variety of scholarships to help pay for the RN Program. The below information serves as an overview only as scholarships are subject to change at any time.
Mojgan Alameda Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to nursing students in the top 20 percent of the nursing program, based on grade point average and financial need.
Casey/Kendall Scholarship
Advanced nursing student (not a first-year student) who shows promise of leadership, minimum 2.75 GPA with financial need.
Maria Chernin Nursing Scholarship
- First year: Enrolled minimum of 9 units in RN program
- Financial Need
- Second Year: Eligible to take NCLEX-RN Examination
- Successful completion of RN program major courses in Year 1
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Enrolled in a minimum of 9 units
- Financial Need
Clara-Belle Hamilton Nursing Scholarship
- Provides scholarships, emergency grants, book grants, and general support for nursing students and the College of Marin nursing program.
- Award amounts vary annually.
- Award to incoming class and graduating class.
The Actuarial Foundation
The Actuarial Foundation, The International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA), the Organization of Latinx Actuaries (OLA) and the Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries (SAGAA) ensures the future of the actuarial profession through its scholarships and reimbursement programs
The Curtis E. Huntington Memorial Scholarship
The Curtis E. Huntington, FSA, MAAA, FCA, MSPA (1942–2013) Memorial Scholarship (formerly the John Culver Woody Scholarship) was established to recognize the remarkably positive impact Huntington had on the actuarial profession. He worked tirelessly to help students receive the financial assistance they needed.
Roberta Hendricks Scholarship
The recipient is selected on the basis of academic achievement and financial need.
Nursing Scholarship in Honor of Peter J. Julien, MD
Awarded to an outstanding continuing student in Nursing with a minimum 2.75 GPA, with a preference for a veteran.

Kaiser Permanente Scholarship
Provides financial assistance to students entering the second year of the nursing program.
Sutter Health
Established by Sutter Health in 2002, the Sutter Scholars Program is named in honor of former Sutter Health CEO Van R. Johnson and supports the continuing education of children and grandchildren of Sutter Health and affiliate employees.
Scottish Rite Foundation
Over $200,000 in college scholarships are provided each year to more than 100 deserving California students to assist with the pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree. The California Scottish Rite Foundation places a strong emphasis on education and scholarships are provided for degrees in many fields including engineering, foreign service, forestry, medicine, public school administration, public service, and speech and language pathology.
John J. Niebauer Memorial Scholarship
To be awarded to a student in the Nursing program.
Therese M. Owen Nursing Scholarship
Full-time Nursing student, enrolled in 9 units or more; minimum of 3.0 grade point average, and is a single parent.
RN Endowment Scholarship
Awarded to nursing students in need of financial aid.
Janet Susan Tobin Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a second year nursing student.
Sertoma
Sertoma’s Scholarship for the Hard of Hearing or Deaf, is the leading scholarship for hard of hearing or deaf students since the program’s inception in 1994.
C.M. & Tempest Van Vilierdan Fund for Nursing
Assist Nursing students with tuition, books, uniforms and other educational expenses.
Ulta, Hannah, and Misty Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a student who has financial need and has completed the first year of COM Nursing program.
ZONTA Club Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a student entering the second year of the nursing program, on the basis of academic success, financial need, and dedication to nursing.
